The All People’s Congress, Presidential Candidate Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara has said in an interview with British Broadcasting Cooperation(BBC), that the fight against corruption shouldn’t be limited to asset declaration, saying, as one of the brains behind the creation of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) if elected he will ensure there is stern “political will” as the fight shouldn’t be politicized or dramatized as the country is witnessing today.
Dr Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara described litigation against him in the court as politically motivated, saying, his over 40 years clean track record in public life, is enough for all to know that he is a man of strong moral fibre noting that he demonstrated huge experience and confidence in being an alternative to the failures of the current regime.
Kamara underscored the importance of democracy in an emerging nation like Sierra Leone, highlighting key policy drive to achieve sustainable development.
As Sierra Leone goes to polls in June 24th 2023, the APC Leader is confident the people are resolved to make a change which will reflect their wishes and aspirations.
