MRS ZAINAB ATTIRE KABBA RESTORED PEACE AT OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE ALUMNI

The long battle of supremacy among old girls of Our Lady Guadalupe Secondary Vocational School Alumni Association as to which chapters should be recognised as the headquarters has been amicably resolved under the dynamic leadership of Mrs Zainab Attire Kabba.

Three years ago, Our Lady of Guadalupe Secondary Vocational School Alumni Association (OLGOGA) in the National Chapter needed peace as they had up to four different chapters at the national level which undermine the peace and unity of the Alumni Association, this sad situation prompted Mrs Zainab Attire Kabba an old girl of the school from the United States of America but currently in the country to intervened and initiated what is called Peace Ambassadors which goal was to have sustainable peace amongst old girls and form one formidable chapter to run the affair of the Alumni Association.

Ambassadors of Peace comprises five phenomenal women with Mrs Kabba being the leader. and initiator, Rose Mary Johnson Bangura from Lunsar, Janet E Conteh’s friend of Canada, Sia Sinah from Freetown and Marian Musa from the United Kingdom, to drive the peace process.

For the past three years, Ambassadors of Peace have been working very hard to bring peace, Unity, Love and sanity among its members.

During the three years, Ambassadors of Peace were mandated to register all old girls and conduct the elections.

In fulfilment of its mandate under the leadership of Mrs Kabba, the Alumni Association on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, held its first elections in over five years with over one thousand registered members participating. 

“God has used me as a vessel to bring peace to our Alumni Association for which I am humbled and very proud that today we now have one national chapter of OLGOGA with record-breaking registered members of over one thousand”, said Mrs Zainab Attire Kabba has she addressed, her audience just after the elections.

The elections of the new executive have been widely described as the most transparent and successful elections that have now ushered in a new executive with peace.
