Anti-neocolonialism on the rise in Africa. Britain should watch out. Britain created a commonwealth, which essentially should stand for sharing wealth in common. Instead, Britain continues to take away the wealth from their so-called free colonies, living them empty, poor, and destitute. One of the protocols of the commonwealth member countries rendered the movement of citizens without the requirement of visas. But the wealthy commonwealth nations dismissed that protocol of visa-free-movement for member commonwealth countries they have exploited and left in abject poverty.
The wind is blowing, and the day of reckoning has come. The neo-colonialists should read the writings on the wall and realize that the compassionate and welcoming nature of Africa should no longer be taken for granted.
Corruption always fights back if you dare to fight it. Colonialism, neo-colonialism, and corruption all share the same characteristics. They all steal, no doubt, and they all allow greed to take over their sense of reasoning. They become blind to any future repercussions should their theft get exposed. And when ones the day of reckoning becomes due to account for their sins, the ground for battle takes effect.
The second phase of emancipation from the stranglehold of colonialism in Africa has begun, and like corruption, the colonizers will fight back. But this time around, they take that fight with a generation far different from the forefathers who would take salt and mirrors in exchange for humans and country; they will take that fight with a more enlightened generation that knows the difference between their two months; they will take that fight with breeds determined and resolute to achieve goals that would enhance equal rights for all. The West should remove the veil and see things in their true perspective. Africa nolonger takes poverty for granted, which doubles down to breaking the chain of economic strangulation.
The West should read the writing on the wall and remove the robe of arrogance.
