As the government of President Julius Maada Bio continues to lay better structures for Sierra Leoneβs middle level man-power to position the countryβs economy in good shape, the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has on Friday 16th February 2024 reassured over 800 women that graduated from the Mada Wokie Women Capacity building on Tourism and Artisans sector of Government position to reshape the sector to alleviate poverty and increase employment opportunities for young people especially women as its was embedded in 2023 Big Five Game Changers Manifesto.
Minister Tunis expressed her gratitude for been the keynote guest speaker for this yearβs inaugural entrepreneurship ceremony as she was extremely excited to see young entrepreneursβ women transcend into such a productive career which will bring respect to them and also contribute towards their livelihood.
She stated that the Bio led-government has done a lot of legislative works to ensure that vocational education becomes valuable in the country to capacitate the youths. She applauded international partners for working closely with the ministry to underscored good results like this.
In her summary statement she applauded the 800 women for working together for the future of the country and expressed that the ministry would showcase 20 of them to 30 businesses controlled by the 800 graduates from Madam Wokie come October this year as part of the Tourism for All Campaign.
