Sierra Leone’s Chef De Mission, Yayah Koroma together with the National Olympic Committee / Commonwealth Games Association (NOC/CGA-SLE) will for the first time this year meet with representatives of the Association ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
According to Koroma, all Federation representatives whose sports are part of the 2026 Commonwealth Games and will be representing Sierra Leone must attend the said coordination meeting which is scheduled for Monday February 2 at the Olympic Committee Secretariat in Freetown.
He said: “The meeting is convened to discuss preparations ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, with particular focus on athlete planning and quota allocation.”
He further revealed that all Federations are strongly encouraged to bring detailed profiles of their prospective athletes for further assessment and consideration.
While, all qualification sports, including Weightlifting, 3×3 Basketball, Para Weightlifting, and Para Powerlifting, are also encouraged to attend as they seek qualifications to the games.
