The Inspector General of Police Fayia Sellu has disclosed at the government weekly press conference held at the conference room of the Ministry of Information and Civic Education in Freetown that the police have arrested 19 people on suspicion of subversion.
He says among those arrested are 14 military officers, 2 police and 2 civilian and 1 retired Chief Superintendent of police.
IG Sellu, further disclosed that, another 8 including 5 soldiers and 3 police are on the run but the police is doing its best to get them arrested he assured.
He noted that those arrested are currently being investigated while advice the public to go about their normal business as there is no cause to alarm.
