Since taking over the Chairmanship of the APC party in 2018 at that ill-fated National Delegate Conference in Makeni, I don’t know how many times, if any, has Hon. Chairman Minkailu Mansaray traveled across the country to have a first-hand idea about the situation of his party. Not even after the controversial 2023 Multi-tier elections which his party is contesting its legitimacy.
Hon. Chairman Minkailu Mansaray should know that “Their enemies shouldn’t be his enemies”.
It could be recalled that Hon. Minkailu Mansaray once came under serious attacks from his party supporters and some other heavyweights after it was alleged that he was a Sam Sumana sympathizer.
Hon. Minkailu Mansaray suffered dearly for those allegations, according to credible sources.
Sources familiar with the inner workings of the party disclosed that, for Hon. Minkailu Mansaray to become Chairman of the APC party, he has to dissociate himself completely and cut off all ties with the former Vice President, Hon. Chief Alhaji Sam Sumana.
To seal the deal, reports say, he was invited to a “shrine” in Makeni where he made a firm undertaking not to have any relationship with the former Vice President.
He therefore did just that and got his Chairmanship on a silver platter.
Mr. Hon. Chairman, do you know the whereabouts of Hon. Ibrahim Rashid Bundu, what about former Freetown City Mayor, Bodi Gibson, Collinous Deaveaux, et al?
A good commander shouldn’t abandon his men on the battlefield for fear of the enemies.
Whoever wrote that lengthy thesis referred to as a ‘press release’ for the APC Party National Chairman, didn’t do justice to him.
“He wrote a lot but didn’t write anything,” that was how my former History teacher, Hon. M. A. Jalloh would have referred to such a press release after reading it. Hahaha!
He repeatedly called for peace and reconciliation but at the same time bashed those he considered detractors and haters of the party. Speaking from both sides of the divide.
Meanwhile, rather than embarking on fruitless campaigns to bash his haters, he should try to quickly put together a peace and reconciliation action plan and remove the party from this inaction motion.
Mr. Chairman, my advice Sir; Your Life Isn’t Yours If You Always Care What Others Think or Say About You! Lonta!
