Edward Farah Marah is a Human Rights and Anti-Corruption campaigner and an award-winning local and international journalist.
Born in Freetown and attended Services Primary School, Wilberforce Barracks and the Albert Academy School in Freetown.
He holds a certificate in Journalism from the Institute of African Media Communicators, Cairo, Egypt; a Certificate in Ethics and Journalism from IWent Institute Germany; and a diploma in Journalism and Media Studies from the College of Journalism and Management.
He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies from College of Theology, Management -University of Sierra Leone, a master’s Degree in Governance and Leadership from Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology and a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Marketing Communications from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone
Edward Farah has been a practising Journalist for over two decades. He was a founding member of Sierra Leone Reporters Union, current Secretary General of Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) and also the current Secretary General for Network of African Journalists and Head of Media Ferensola Organization
He is a media consultant and trainer and the Proprietor and Executive Editor of The Informant Newspaper, a daily newspaper that believes in providing credible, impartial and factual information on the political, economic and social activities to the people of Sierra Leone, which serves as a guarantee for enhancing freedom of the human rights of every citizen.
