In a remarkable gesture of faith and generosity, Dr. Shekuo M. Sesay, a former diplomat, politician, educationist, philanthropist, and Leader Ferensola has made Sadaka donations to thirteen Masjids and Muslim Jamats in Falaba, Koinadugu Districts, and Freetown.
The donations, which were warmly received by local religious leaders and community members, underscore his commitment to supporting Islamic institutions and fostering unity among worshippers.
Community elders in Koinadugu, Falaba, and Freetown praised Dr. Sesay’s initiative, noting that the contributions will strengthen religious activities and provide much-needed support for congregations in rural areas.
The donations were described as timely, especially as many of the Masjids continue to serve as vital centers for spiritual guidance and social cohesion.
Dr. Sesay’s philanthropic outreach culminated in Freetown, where he made a final Sadaka donation at the Kuranko Masjid in Pipeline, off Wilkinson Road.
This closing act in Ferensola was symbolic, highlighting his deep connection to both the provinces and the capital city.
Religious leaders expressed gratitude for his consistent support, emphasizing that such acts of charity not only fulfill spiritual obligations but also inspire others to contribute to the welfare of their communities.
The following communities benefited from the donations, namely: Yogomaia (Koinadugu District), Kamabunnuna Masjid, Bankolia Masjid, Malaforià and Nyafurator, Lenkekoro, Kamayimbo, Heremakono, Konkowakoro Masjid, and Kuranko Masjid, Pipeline Freetown.
